The Ministry of Tourism has launched a Skill Development Programme with an emphasis on the employability of the skills acquired. Hunar Se Rozgar Programme was started on 19th June 2009 and it is conducted by the Ambala Institute of Hotel Management

No application or course fee is charged to the applicant. A trainee who acquired with an attendance of 90% will be paid stipend of Rs. 1,500/- in respect of Food & Beverage Service Steward, Room Attendant and Front Office Associate course and Rs.2,000/- in respect of the Multi Cuisine Cook and Craft Baker courses. The students have to appear in an end of the course test and pass it successfully so as to be able to awards them with a Certificate which is provided from the Ministry of Tourism.

The minimum qualification for admission is 8th Class pass excluding graduates
